This original set of Fitting Instructions for Infantry Equipment, Pattern 1914, was provided to Karkee Web by Ross Torrington, an Australian member of the Karkee Web Research Team. As Ross describes this manual, "The cover is only paper – very poor quality paper, an economy equipment with an economy manual." It's also short - only a page and a half of text, accompanied by thirteen illustrative plates. All this notwithstanding, the plates are excellent and the brief text is surprisingly informative. This copy, by the way, is the same one that Ross supplied to Rick Landers for inclusion in his British Commonwealth Web Equipment 1871-1944. It is presented here as an Adobe PDF file. You'll need to use your browser's back button to return to Karkee Web after accessing it.
