Web Equipment, Braithwaite: Fitting Instructions
Fitting Instructions
No South African pamphlet is known, but a typed document exists. This is MILLS’ WEB EQUIPMENT INFANTRY PATTERN NO. 3. This thin typescript was probably produced to the layout the War Office would have needed, had their selection ever been confirmed as the new regulation equipment. There is no indication in D.D. 409 S.A. that Pattern 1935 was the full No. 3 set, which had provision for making it an “All Arms” pattern. This document will be shown in a future section, which will cover all the models trialled by the Braithwaite Committee
