The Cambridgeshire postcard has an additional point of interest. The Staff Sergeant is wearing his regulation sword on Patt. ’03 B.E. Sword carriages, authorised in LoC 13753, approved 25 May 1907 and notified on 1 July 1907. As the two Carriage belt loops are close together, the Sword guard has not been fitted between the two loops.
