31st December 2011 - Added an interesting modified example of the Canadian W.E. Pattern 1919 (aka Patt. 1925) Haversack to the Pattern 1925 Khaki Haversacks and Packs page.

20th December 2011 - Added a new page to the Collector's Collections section, featuring a set of Canadian Dismounted Equipment, Pattern 1916 from the Hans Feij Collection.

10th December 2011 - Updated the W.E. Patt. 1937 Fitting Instructions page, with a just-spotted detail about the Italian version of the FI's.

26th November 2011 - Uploaded an updated and improved version of the section for Bandolier Equipment, Pattern 1903. Consider this an interim revision only - Chris Pollendine is leading an effort for a full revision of this section, just as he did earlier for Patt. '14. Meanwhile, we've addressed a few of the major problems with that section, which if you remember, was one of the very first that Karkee Web ever did. Keep watching - the best is yet to come!

19th November 2011 - Added PDF versions of the British 1913 Fitting Instructions for Web Equipment, Pattern 1908.

18th November 2011 - Added photos of a Pattern 1901 Mess tin cover and Strap to the Accoutrements, naval, pattern 1901 Equipment Carriers and Belts, Braces, and Straps pages.

12th November 2011 - Added a new set of W.E. Officers, Experimental, to the W.E.O.X. Set Displays page. Added the Binocular case from the same set to the W.E.O.X. Equipment Carriers page. Updated the B.E. Patt. '03 List of Changes page to include all known relevant LoC entries.

11th November 2011 - Ninety-three years ago today, the Great War ended at last. On this day in 2011, we've added a high resolution PDF of the 1908 Mills Equipment Company broadside Fitting Instructions for Web Equipment, Pattern 1908.

7th November 2011 - Added a major new section on Accoutrements, naval, pattern 1901.

6th November 2011 - Added the 1939 British issue of the Fitting Instructions to the W.E. Patt. '37 Fitting Instructions page.

5th November 2011 - Added a naval version of the Fitting Instructions to the W.E. Patt. '37 Fitting Instructions page.

26th October 2011 - General minor revisions to the entire section for W.E. Pattern 1925. Added a Canadian variation of the Water bottle carrier to the Khaki Patt. '25 Equipment Carriers page. Added a pre-war version of the O.T.C. simplified "Pattern 1908" Belt to the W.E. Patt. '08 Belts page.

22nd October 2011 - Added a new entry to the Non-Patterned Equipment Section, this one on Map Cases.

21st October 2011 - Added a new example of Bayonet frog to the W.E. Patt. '37 Bayonet Frogs page.

2nd October 2011 - We are correcting an error. Thanks to a reader's tip, we've learned that the "new" variations of the Patt. '19 Pistol case, as well as the new example of the Patt. '19 Cartridge pouch, are of unknown provenance and made by bleaching blue-grey Patt. '25 items and adding naval markings. Needless to say, we've removed the items in question and corrected the page. Insufficient information exists, but the R.A.F. themselves may have bleached the items, for use by R.A.F. Police, in the absence of a white Patt. '37 W.E. pistol rig, which was not made for them until the mid 50s. These bleached items came from a disposal of Royal Marine Reserve stocks. It is not known why, or even how they might have acquired ex-R.A.F. stocks, but it is not out of the question that they might have! We do not believe these to have been faked, as it is a great deal of effort to have expended, for little financial gain. However, until more information surfaces, we feel it is wiser to omit the questionable items.

25th September 2011 - Back in operation after a computer crash (Thorne). Didn't lose any data, but now there's a new computer, and new versions of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Acrobat that promise amazing increases in productivity and throughput. Same old guy pushing the mouse around, though. Updated a Haversack Connection Detail on the W.E. Patt. '13 Haversacks and Packs page.

15th September 2011 - Updated the W. E. Patt. '19 Equipment Carriers page to add new variations of the Pistol case, and new examples of the Water bottle carrier and Cartridge pouch.

6th September 2011 - Yet again, we've added more photos to the W.E. Patt. '19 Set Displays page.

5th September 2011 - Added even more new photos to the W.E. Patt. '19 Set Displays page.

4th September 2011 - Added new photos to the W.E. Patt. '19 Set Displays page. Revised the I.E. Patt. '14 Belts, Braces, and Straps page to correct an error and add new information on Pack straps.▫

20th August 2011 - Added a new example of the Patt. '19 Brace attachments to the W.E. Pattern 1919 Belts, Braces, and Straps page. Added a new example of a pre-war O.T.C. Belt to the W.E. Pattern 1908 Belts page.

30th July 2011 - Added a new section for James Harriss's Collection to the Contributors' Collections page.
